There are many different things to consider when buying down/feather products. 'Down' is a specific type of feather called a 'cluster' that is more of a puffball than a feather. It is very fine in weight and density.

The more down in an item, the less dense or firm it will be. Down/feather items of all kinds are identified by the "mix", ie: a 10/90 is 10% down and 90% feathers and so on. In other words, the down content is always first.

Below you will find different "mixes" and types of feathers with a description for each category.

The following items are all assembled in America made of imported products.

• 10/90 duck down/duck feathers
  A basic feather fill. Support you need with enough support to be a very comfortable sofa pillow. Perfect for occassional pillows. 625 fill power. 100% white 200 thread count cotton ticking.
• 25/75 duck down/duck feathers
  This pillow is a bit softer than the 10/90. It is perfect for kidney (lumbar) pillows or if you just like a bit more cushiness. 625 fill power. 100% white 200 thread count cotton ticking.
• 50/50 duck down/duck feathers
  Now we start talking luxury! This mix will give you alot of softness. A little pricier than the last two fills but definitely worth it if you are looking for a fabulous pillow filler. 625 fill power. 100% white 200 thread count cotton ticking.
• 100%  duck down/duck feathers
  This is the bell of the ball! 100% down is a very very soft fill with the emphasis being on absolute luxury. This is the fill to choose when nothing but the best will do. Sweet! 625 fill power. 100% white 200 thread count cotton ticking.
• Synthetic down
  This is perfect for those of you that may be sensitive to feather products. Synthetic down is a non-allergenic polyester product specifically made to simulate feather/down fills. It is a manufactured hollow core polyester with the fibers permanently crimped and twisted so as to provide lasting fullness. This not only simulates down but keeps the pillow from becoming lumpy. Completely washable!
