Have you ever used 1545 foam? Also, if I had a piece of 1845 foam, and a piece of 1833 foam, how would I be able to tell the difference between them?

Hi Boat man, I have never used a 1500 series foam. The quality (15) is considered an "OK" quality and my clientele usually needs something more than that. It may be a challenge to differentiate between the two since they are so close in qualities (denoted by the 18) but the 1833 should feel a bit softer when compressed. The 45 should feel firmer. It may take a few tries to distinguish this. Foams do come in different colors but this is not always a tell tale sign. Thanks for asking Jen

Hi Jen, I see you have never used 1500 series foam, but I hope you can help me here, what would be the differences between a 1845 foam and a 1545 foam? Can you physically see or feel a difference? Or is there a test I can do to tell the difference.Thank You, Boat Man

Sorry, Boat Man, not really any test per se.A chemist in the foam field would be able to determine that but that isn't worth the hassle. The difference in the two is the quality. 1500 is not very good quality thus lower lastability. Do you have a bunch of this you are trying to identify? Or are you just trying to decide which to use? Use the 1800. its a better quality and not much more expensive. Jen
